BUDGET hotel chain Travelodge have opened their 16th hotel in Greater Manchester – on Piccadilly Gardens. The 157-room hotel, which cost £11m and offers rooms from £52 a night, is on the site of the 1979 Woolworth’s fire disaster.
Part of Travelodge’s £100m investment in expansion this year, it incorporates the group’s new design, which includes a new blue and red theming, new style bathrooms and king-sized “Travelodge Dreamer” beds.
