Win a short break in Cornwall

bmibaby has just resumed its flights from Manchester to Newquay from just £19.99 one way including taxes – and to mark the occasion, they're giving away a short break in Cornwall.

One reader will win a short break for two people, including bmibaby flights from Manchester to Newquay, two night's accommodation at The Bay Hotel including breakfast, a half day surfing lesson each at the Quiksilver Surf School, and one luxurious ESPA aromatherapy back, neck and shoulder massage at the award-winning Fistral Spa.

bmibaby flies Manchester to Newquay from just £19.99 one way with flights currently running on Mondays and Fridays. In peak season, there'll be up to six flights a week. They have resumed this route earlier in the year than normal because it was so popular in 2010.

The competition winner will stay in the four-star Bay Hotel, a laid-back, contemporary hotel with fantastic facilities and an enviable location. Situated just a stone’s throw from the world-famous Fistral Beach, The Bay is home to the Newquay Quiksilver Surf School, which offers the best coaching and facilities in the UK, and the award-winning Fistral Spa. Complete with deck-level swimming pool, sauna, spa bath and steam room, Fistral Spa is the ideal place to chill-out after a day surfing.

Enter the competition above to win a short break in Cornwall, then check out these top five things to do there.

Top five things to do in Cornwall

1) The Eden Project
This must-see tourist attractions is just a short distance from Newquay. Explore the enormous 'Biodome' conservatories, the stunning year-round gardens, and world-class sculpture and art.

2) Storm Watching
Three thousand miles of open ocean stretches from Cornwall to Newfoundland and the winter storms create spectacular sights all along the coast. The storm watching season runs from November to February/March. Although a relatively new tourist phenomenon, locals have been watching and surfing in the tail end of winter storms in Cornwall for many years.

3) The Cornish Cyder Farm
Home to Cornish Rattler and the Cornish Scrumpy, the farm offers free tastings and you can watch the cider-makers while they work. Take a self guided tour of the press house, bottlery and jam kitchen – it's free.

4) Fifteen restaurant
Jamie Oliver founded Fifteen restaurant in Watergate Bay in 2002, staffing it with professional chefs and aspiring young apprentices in need of a second chance. Go and sample their daily changing menus while taking in the stunning views of a beautiful two-mile beach.

5) The Terrace at The Headland Hotel
This restaurant has a lovely, chilled beachy vibe. We especially like the sound of the Cornish cheese platters, and the Cornish mussels in cider, cream and bacon served with skinny fries.

Prize valid until 30 June 2011 and subject to availability. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers. Prize includes accommodation in a Standard room for two people, one half-day surf lesson per person and one ESPA massage.
