Safety first for United

IF Manchester United’s drubbing at the hands of Barcelona made painful viewing, another  current screen appearance is altogether more light-hearted – and in a good cause.

Six of their stars helped to launch Turkish Airlines’ latest on-board luxury – an inflight safety video featuring the players themselves! The video will be screened in cabins on all Turkish Airlines flights from June.

It’s a unique bid to make passengers more attentive to safety and inflight comfort information. The video features Wayne Rooney, Darren Fletcher, Chris Smalling, Nani and Rafael and Fabio da Silva recreating scenes a little different from the standard safety video.

The players feature in comedic sketches that play on the descriptions given in the official voiceover of the correct procedures to be followed in an emergency.
