Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) has been named as the best airline for travelling with babies by Holidayextras.com.
The airline picked up the gold award in that category as well as taking bronze for travelling with disabled passengers.
The award completes a good year for SWISS, which flies to Geneva, Zurich and Basel from Manchester and also flies long haul to the US and the Middle East.
The airline was awarded Best Short Haul Airline at the Guardian and Observer Travel Awards 2010 and at the Conde Naste Readers; Travel Awards, and topped the Which? magazine customer satisfaction survey.
Gregor Koncilja, UK and Ireland country manager, said, “These achievements are proof of SWISS’ hospitality and commitment to making our customers feel at home in the sky.
“In addition, we are constantly working to maintain high customer satisfaction by enhancing our products and building new services and routes. This year for instance we started flying six times daily from London Heathrow to Geneva and we now also offer a new long route from Zurich to San Francisco the UK.”
For its winter schedule, the airline has just launched free transport for ski equipment to include: one pair of skis, one pair of ski poles and one pair of boots or one snowboard and one pair of snowboard boots.
In the UK & Ireland, SWISS operates 33 daily flights from London Heathrow, London City, Birmingham International, Manchester and Dublin to Switzerland.
